The Humane Society of Uvalde understands there is a great need for low cost services throughout Uvalde and surrounding areas and our program is desperately applying for grants and programs that will allow us to help other cities and counties.  At this time, our current funds are limited to the city of Uvalde and to Uvalde County.  Although some of the resources listed above may be a long distance, they may offer low cost services.  We encourage you to seek these out and possibly look for other friends, family or neighbors who are also in need of services who can share the drive or the cost of the drive with you.

    Other Tips:

Consider having your own "Spay Fund" and save a little money each month until you can afford the surgery.

Check with your vet clinic to see if they offer a payment plan.

The smaller the dog, the cheaper the surgery-so don't wait for the lab mix to be full grown before you take her in!

If you can only afford to have one pet done at a time, take care of the females first to prevent unwanted pregnancy.

Thank you so much for doing your part in decreasing animal suffering and euthanasia by preventing unwanted litters.

Being a responsible pet owner is saving lives!
