Who We Are:
We are a group of Uvalde citizens (and surrounding areas!) who thought there should be an organization for people to adopt a pet that is healthy, well-socialized, fixed, clean and ready for a new home. You can see some of our cuties on our adoption page.
We also thought there should be some assistance for pet owners to reduce the cost of spaying/neutering. As such, we distribute coupons at our office located behind HEB Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 10a-2p.
We believe that our youth hold the key to the future, which is why we provide humane education in the schools of Uvalde.
We are striving to make Uvalde a better city. As such, we support enforcement of our cities codes and ordinances as well as Texas Animal Cruelty laws. We do support efforts to reduce and eliminate the chaining of dogs.
We are a pretty good group of people, comprised of homemakers, teachers, vets, doctors, retirees, ranchers and pretty much any other ordinary person. Our commonality is the work that we do for the Humane Society of Uvalde. You should join us.

Come by our office behind HEB Tues, Wed,
Thurs from 10a-2p and join our cause or download the form and email it
over paying your dues with the pay pal donation link above. Your
membership dues directly benefit the animals within our community by
helping reduce the number of unwanted pets through a spay/neuter voucher
program as well as a rescue/foster/adopt program.
Established in 2006, HSU is a local non- profit
tax exempt organization whose emphasis is on Spay/ Neuter assistance to
our community and county in effort to decrease the volume of stray and
homeless animals in this area. We distribute in excess of 50 S/N
assistance vouchers per month from our Uvalde office as we continue to
develop an educational outreach program in both public schools and
professional venues, teaching the prudence and necessity of a Spay /
Neuter mentality.
