4/18 photo shoot update: Eli walks really well on a leash and was pretty mellow in general. He was curious about a dandelion. I have no doubt he will be getting adopted pretty quick. Look at his tail! 4/14 - update: Eli was returned, due to trouble with chickens. Therefore, he needs a home without chickens and/or fencing between him and any chickens. The good news?...He also LOVES chasing tennis balls! 1/17-Eli's sister, Evelyn has been adopted. Eli is now waiting for his furever home. 1/8 - Eli is a cutie! You just want to love on him. His mannerisms were hilarious. It looked like he might be playing king of the mountain with the bag of dog food that was on the counter.
THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING, ONLY. This dog is not associated with The Humane Society of Uvalde. If you are interested in this pet, contact the owner, directly. One year old, intact-male blue lacy. Very sweet, would do best in a quiet environment. She does not do well in crowds. Call 591-3939, Gaye for information
Courtesy listing only please call the contact person directly An Elderly couple has been taking care of this stray temporarily until, and hopefully with y'all's help, we can find him a good home. Unfortunately, however, they cannot continue to do so much longer. Their 4 year old granddaughter has named him Lilo. He is very well mannered and really loves kids. Very calm disposition and playful. He seems to be a terrier mix. He is probably 25-30 lbs. Very young. He is approx. 2-1/2' long head to base of tail. A fairly smallish pooch. Really faint red highlighted tufts of hair on his back near his haunches. Primarily jet black with white paws and chest and welcoming eyes! Pretty dog! I am enclosing several pictures of him and have more if requested. Hopefully we can find him a loving home. Thank you! Contact: Forrest @ 830 988-5054 Cell: 909 210-4902
Maggie is a new rescue. She doesn't like to be crated (she screams), but is happy to be held or close by her person. She is a wiggly worm, until she can cuddle with you. She is a little bitty girl and needs to be in a home where she is safe. I marked no small children, however a child that is gentle and understanding of Maggie's size is fine. Likewise, other pets would have to be gentle with her.
Redd is new to the program and a little worried about what is going on. However, he has been enjoying hanging out with the other small dogs at Country Tails B&B. After, some play time, he enjoys curling up on his little bed.
Tucker is a bit on the shy side. He is still learning his leash skills, but is getting better. He enjoys when someone sits with him and he perks up to little whistling sounds. During his photo shoot he crawled to the photographer and licked her after some coaxing. At this time,Tucker is timid, but with a little coaxing he will probably become a love bug!
DECLAWED - Must be an indoor ONLY cat for her own safety. Lucy is a beauty and has the personality to match. She found herself at HSU, because her owner's husband is allergic and the dr. recommended that there be no cats in the house. My owner's husband was afraid my owner would get rid of him, but alas, it came down to me. However, I am pretty chill about it. HSU has said they would find someone nice to take me. I don't have any claws, though, so I need to be in an indoor environment. I can't protect myself, so please no pets that could hurt me. I really like hanging out and being scratched around the neck. My fur is SUPER soft. So, maybe you and I can just hang out on the sofa and watch tv? You can pet my beautiful fur and scratch behind my ears. I will oversee my new castle and try not to make you sneeze.
Snowy is a beautiful 2 year old, neutered male, poodle. He is a HAPPY fellow! He is energetic and wants to be in the middle of everything. He loves dogs, but to tell you the truth...he doesn't really know how to play with them, yet. He wants to play, but is very excited and jumps and yaps and play-nips. As my dog hid behind me, Snowy did not know why she wouldn't play. Snowy's led a pretty sheltered life with an older owner, who passed away. A relative tried to take Snowy, but they already had 2 dogs and it was too much. So, Snowy has found himself at Country Tails Bed & Bisquit. He thinks it is pretty exciting, but he wants a home of his own. Snowy enjoys attention. I think he will calm down in a quieter, stable environment. I think he might like a pet companion, but there may have to be a little adjustment phase. Snowy is not associated with HSU, he is a courtesy listing only. Please call the staff (Gay) at CTBB for more information: (830)591-3939.
Chelsea is an adventurist! She would love to go to a ranch or farm where she can explore. Wherever, she goes, she would like an active family. She is 3.5 years old, spayed and her shots are current. She was surrendered, due to the family not being able to contain her in their backyard. She was getting out and in harm's way. For her safety, a home with a high fence and/or someone who has the time to give her an active lifestyle. She became acquainted with my dog, but seemed a little hesitant. She might need a little adjustment time to bond with other pets in the home. I think she would love to keep squirrels out of your yard and after a hard day of squirrel chasing she would calm down and love to relax with you. She is a beauty! Chelsea is a courtesy listing ONLY. She is not associated with HSU, please call Gay directly at (830)591-3939.
