Rescue Row

Rescue Row began in September of 2010.  The City of Uvalde has allowed us to utilize the outside kennels at the city pound to hold pets while we wait for foster homes to open.

Dog on RESCUE ROW are walked three times a day and very well cared for, although we would prefer them to hurry and find a forever home!

VOLUNTEERS needed to help take care of our pets on RESCUE ROW.  If you would be interested in helping care for our pets by walking, feeding, cleaning and playing with Rescue Row inmates, please contact ReneeRimkus@me.com or call Kara Lands at 830-275-1744.  You can also complete the contact us form on the contact us page.

We currently have the following shifts: 7 days a week someone attends to the pets at 8am, 2pm and 8pm.  We would love to find a way for you to help our pets, so whether its these hours, or something different, we will gladly get you trained and involved with our pets.

MAMA GOT A BIG OL' MUTT!

Get fit and walk a dog at the same time!  HSU is currently working on creating a walking club where volunteers walk HSU pets and give their treadmill a break!  If you would like to help get this started, contact Reneerimkus@me.com or call Kara Lands at 830-275-1744.
